Assessor Comments
A very good line of EU accredited pure Angus steers. These weaners were weaned during the dry period last year in November as young calves. They were fed a mixture of silage and grain in the yards and since have been doing very well on crop. Chappell cattle have previously performed well in feedlots. Vendors have sourced bulls with high IMF & EMA indexes. Ideal lot of steers to turn out onto winter crop and place into a high-grade black Angus feeder market or hold to a quality heavy kill carcass. Weaners can be sire identified.
NOTE: 8 weaners identified with slight blue eye scarring in 1 eye. 2 Weaners identified with moderate blue eye scarring in 1 eye.
