Assessor Comments
The hard work is being done.. Buyers these steers are currently being yard weaned with access to high quality silage hay and clean trough water. These steers will have plenty of human interaction during this process and through the assessing process they behaved well. These steers come from a maternal line which is based on Ben Nevis genetics and are sired by high quality Hazeldean Angus Bulls purchased from the New England Hazeldean sales. These steers would suit either growing to a feedlot entry weight or alternatively taking through to a grass fed and or MSA processing weight. These steers stand on good bone and have plenty of shape, they have benefited from a wonderful season & quality genetics. Please note odd calf may develop pink eye through the weaning process these will be treated and patched prior to delivery. Expect these calves to loose some bloom during the weaning process.
