These weaners were quiet to handle and very settled through the assessment process. They have had ample human interaction due to supplementary feeding and are content as a result. Typical of freshly weaned calves they move freely with pressure.

Offering the RJ Flint tops of the drop weaned steers. Wirruna and Yavenvale blood Poll Hereford sires have been the staple for the herd. They are out of large framed cows and will grow into bullocks given the time and feed. These weaners are late July-September 2024 drop presenting in fresh store condition and carrying no excess fat cover but have not had a set back. They offer immediate compensatory weight gains with a change in diet. They will be properly weaned come delivery being yard weaned at assessment and remaining in the yards on quality cereal hay until delivery. At assessment not a single eye issue was noted, a sign of good health. It would be expected to have an odd weeping eye by delivery due to yard weaning. Genetically they have been grown out to bullocks in the past with success. Easy doing white faced steers that will suit taking on to feeder or kill weights for the promising future cattle market. Vendor is also offering 11 steers from an earlier drop in today’s sale.
