Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were very good to handle in the yards and crush, four heifers became slightly agitated while in the crush and exited quickly. Another four were stirry in the race & crush and would not settle in the crush. Nothing remotely aggressive. All settled when back in the yard together and remained quiet while being photographed.

Assessor Comments
A mostly good to very good quality line of medium to large frame Angus and Angus x yearling heifers. They were mostly framed (64%) with the balance medium framed. Since weaning they have been fed in yards on bunks for a short period before going onto a good quality oats crop. They remain on the last of the oats crop with access to grass country, all of which has a good bulk of feed. They have had access to grain mixes post weaning. These heifers are NSM and are ideally suited to take directly onto feed for the top end of the domestic supermarket trade. Alternatively the top 50% would suit to take and join for future breeders. Please one heifer noted with slight blue eye in one eye and two heifers with small number of warts on face and neck. These cattle are located 5km south of Moonie only 500 metres off the highway and are very accessible for any trucks moving north and south.
