Steers drafted up well in an ordinary set of yards. They ran through the crush and weighed with relative ease and happily walked up to us in the paddock when we entered. They have been well handled but showed signs that if undue pressure was applied they would get upset.

Assessor Comments
A good run of Angus steers to turn out. They were pleasant to handle and weigh, and yarded easy via a laneway system on the farm. They are showing good frame to go onto feed and do. Previous years steers have gone on to become solid bullocks in fair time for previous purchasers. There is on Black Baldy steer who weighed 397kgs in the mob, the purchaser can take or leave him at their discretion. There was also one with a small old pink eye scar and one with slight active Pinkeye who was treated at assessment. All others appeared to be clean and clear in the eyes.

Ryslea Lodge have been breeding consistent Angus cattle for almost 15 years. These calves were weaned in September and ran on to utilise late Spring and summer crops and are now being offered for sale to make room for the Cow and Calf herd.
