Weaners handled well through yards and stood quietly on scales and in crush. Odd heifer was a little flighty but not mad. Quickly settled when back in the mob. Being smaller weaners the odd heifer turned around in the race.

Assessor Comments
64 x late Spring/Early Summer drop High Country Bred Heifer Weaners that were bred on the vendors eastern property at 700-800 metres elevation and trucked to their Tumbarumba property at weaning. Annual turnoff of surplus heifers that are traditionally sold later in the year at heavier weights they are only being offered now due to seasonal conditions. Vendor also has another 52 head same description located 76km away at their Holbrook property to make up a B-Double. Opportunity to put together a line of 116 one mark, vendor bred future breeders or background feeders. At assessment there was 1 heifer noted with one blue eye and 4 heifers with old pinkeye blemishes. There was a small amount of rubbing/ringworm around the eyes & heads of some heifers. Young heifers that have not had a setback and will definitely improve and gain weight with some more feed and warmer weather.
