Assessor Comments
A very nice run of backgrounder steers, these steers would normally be retained and grown out to feeder weights. They are only be offered due to tight seasonal conditions and to make room for this years calves. These steers have always performed for previous purchasers and have the ability to grow into feeder steers or onto bullocks. They were a pleasure to handle and moved through the yards with no fuss. There is plenty of breeding behind these steers being sired by high end Banquet and Murdeduke bulls, the vendor selects their bulls on structure, temperament and higher than average growth. Please note the steers with a mild case of ringworm appears to be healing and the hair growing back. Vendors will also offer the heifers in today’s auction.
