Steers drafted out of 100 head before assessing and were notably flighty at close quarters and when singled out. Back in mob and after weighing settled back with a couple still holding heads up & alert. Returned to paddock with no issues.

16 Vendor bred Angus yearling steers rising one year old. Average 266kg with a range of 229kg to 296kg after a night in yards off feed and water. Had one vaccine 5 in 1 treatment in August 2024. No parasite treatments at all. Stock are showing rough winter coat starting to clean up. All castrated with elastrator rings. 6 head marked at weaning with purse dropped off and not fully healed. All steers bang tailed for ID with Noogoora burr noticed in tail brush & lower body. In proper strong store condition and showing benefit of access to oats crop. No faults observed and show no feet or mobility issues.
