Assessor Comments
On offer here some quality vendor bred Angus heifers to either feed on or breed with. These heifers are ideal weights for purchasers to join if they wish or take on to domestic or export kills. They present in healthy store condition, no excess fat, mostly 2 score. The heifers are very well bred by selected Hazeldean (NHZR1278, NHZR1579) and Kidman Angus (Kidman Hero BKCP53) bulls. Three heifers only had access to an Angus bull for 2 nights but were given a needle to be safe. The rest have had no access since weaning in February. One heifer has an old scar on one eye (see pics). They weighed from 335kg to 456kg after two hours in yards to average 376kg. They were very good to handle. Obviously weaning process and being supplementary fed in the paddock has benefitted this. The vendors have been breeding Angus cattle for over 30 years. Bull selection has been very carefull over the last 10 years, particularly temperament and fertility. The heifer with slightly more navel is optional.
