Heifers weren’t run in long before we got there, so they didn’t have much of a cool off period before they were brought through the crush; on top of that, their last visit to the yards was for preg testing, so there was a few girls with a bit of anxiety given that lot. With some further handling in the yards, and a bit more education, they should settle down and be a bit more relaxed to handle.

Nice line of well bred females, out of large framed Lawson Angus blood cows, bred for growth, structure & longevity. Heifers have good shape & depth, and were originally selected as part of the keeper draft. These heifers offer the successful purchaser the opportunity to appreciate the compensatory weight gain potential and fatten for the Spring, or put the bulls back out and give them another opportunity at motherhood in an Autumn calving cycle.
