BONGONGO BLOOD ANGUS HEIFERS THAT WERE EARLY WEANED IN JANUARY DUE TO THE VERY TIGHT SEASON, VENDOR WAS FEEDING A TRUCK LOAD OF HAY EVERY 10 DAYS PRIOR TO XMAS. EARLY WEANED ONTO A HAY AND GRAIN RATION TO DEVELOP THE RUMEN, THEN THEY HAD ACCESS TO PASTURE PADDOCKS. THESE HEIFERS HAVE BEEN ON A RYE GRASS CROP SINCE 29.4.24 THEY AS A WHOLE MOB OF 250 HAVE ACHIEVED 0.9KG A DAY WEIGHT GAIN. HEIFERS ARE ON THE WAY FORWARD NOW AND SHOULD CONTINUE WITH SUFFICIENT NUTRITION. ASSESSED FROM 195 TO 250KG TO GIVE A NEAT B DOUBLE OF HEIFERS AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP AT BRAIDWOOD SALEYARDS. VENDOR HAS 140 STEERS SAME DESCRIPTION ON OFFER AS WELL.
