Assessor Comments
F1 Speckle Steers 260-307kg at assessment (full weight). These steers have done very well on the forage sorghum since weaning but are showing signs of cooler weather, such as long hair. They should not disappoint if given the opportunity. Vendors weaners have been sold in the past and have performed very well for the purchasers. Steers are by pure bred bulls from some of the best Speckle Park studs. They are out of vendors brought in herd of cows of Angus and Speckles. Very quiet steers and a pleasure to handle. Please note at least one of these steers observed with slight blue eye scarring. 1steer was treated with Orbenin Eye Ointment for a weepy eye. Also note vendor has signed Pasturefed Cattle Assurance System Non-Certified Supplier Declaration. Also there are 3 red speckle also 3 fully black steers in mob. Please note steers were re-weighed morning of 9/5/24, as per this assessment.
