Steers were generally good to handle through the assessment period. Being drafted through a large pound these cattle didn't typically look for an exit but rarely stirred up. Only 3 steers stirred up in crush but did settle back in mob with pressure released. These cattle have been running in a mob of 400.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a run of Vendor bred Angus x Santa, black coated steers. Steers weighed out at 260 - 375Kg to average 323Kg at assessment after being in a small holding paddock overnight. Cattle present in store condition and would be an ideal article to put straight onto a crop to grow into feedlot weights. With a rising plane of nutrition these steers should have large compensatory gain. Steers are out of Angus and Angus Cross cows sired by "Watasanta" Angus X Santa bulls. One steer noted to have a cloudy eye with slight vision.
