These yearlings have settled down very well. They are not totally yard savy just yet so odd steer is easily spooked and most will always follow ring leaders. Nothing that could be described as aggressive in the mob in the bigger yards and they still need to be steadied down through a gateway, not unusual.

The Consuelo EU ACCREDITED and PCAS ELIGIBLE Santa backgrounder steers that have developed a great reputation. Have been offered on A+ for the past 8 years and always attract plenty of repeat buyers who have commented on the great performance these steers deliver them. Steers being slightly older than the lighter steers being offered in the sale, have presented in store to forward store condition and have not endured the tough time since weaning. Of the 41 steers there are about 17 that are showing a bit of pizzle from being cut later and still demonstrate some minor male characteristics but as they mature to heavier export feedlot entry weights this should not be evident. There are a few with old ring worm scars, also the usual few with some white on them (either a patch or underline). They are an ideal article for restockers to add some weight for a domestic feeder job or take through to export weights. Clean country buyers note they are offered GUARANTEED CLEAR of the dip.
