5 DECKS OF VERY GOOD QUALITY CROSSBRED BACKGROUNDER HEIFERS. HEIFERS PRESENT WELL WITH GOOD BONE, FRAME & EVEN MUSCLING. THEY ARE WELL AND TRULY GOING AHEAD ON A RISING PLAIN OF NUTRITION AFTER GOOD RAIN IN FEBRUARY WITH ANOTHER 50MM FALLING LAST WEEK. THESE HEIFERS HAVE THE QUALITY AND FRAME TO GROW INTO GOOD FEEDER HEIFERS OR BE USED AS FUTURE BREEDERS. THE HEIFERS WORKED VERY WELL THROUGH THE YARD & ARE WELL EDUCATED CATTLE IN GENERAL. THEY WEIGHED FROM 122KG - 327KG & AVG 236KG AT ASSESSMENT AFTER 4 HOURS OFF FEED. THERE IS 64 RED, 57 CREAM, 50 BLACK, 17 BRINDEL, 10 BLACK & TAN & 2 HONEY IN COLOUR. IT WAS NOTED THAT 1 HAD A WART THE SIZE & SHAPE OF A BIC LIGHTER ON ITS RIBS, 3 HAD BLUE EYES & 1 HAD A HGP EARMARK THAT HAD BEEN PUT IN BY ACCIDENT & DID NOT HAVE A PILL AT ALL. PLEASE NOTE DELIVERY IS ON FARM 40KM NORTH OF JULIA CREEK, BUT THE VENDOR WILL CLEAR THE CATTLE AND PAY ASSOCIATED DIPPING FEES. VENDOR ALSO HAS ANOTHER 143 BRAHMAN CROSS HEIFERS IN THE SALE.

Most of this lot are vendor bred except for the Brangus & Senepol types that were out of brought PTIC heifers. Vendor bred cattle come from a Brahman cross breeding herd using Brahman, Droughtmaster, Charbray & Charolais bulls.
Grazing Conditions
Grazing on fresh Flinders, Mitchel & Button grasses & other summer herbages that has received up to 50mm of rain in the last week. Heifers have returned to the same paddock until delivery.
