Assessor Comments
5 decks of 140 Angus cross heifers sired by Texas Angus bulls. The vendor usually retains these heifers in their breeding program, but after a tight joining, they were found to be empty upon pregnancy testing. These heifers have excellent feminine and maternal characteristics, along with strong growth rates and weight-for-age genetics, making them ideal as future breeders. 53% of the heifers are vendor-bred, and 47% were purchased from a neighbouring family property, both with similar breeding cow lines and bulls. Upon assessment, they were re-pregnancy tested and found to be empty. A sample of 30 heifers were mouthed and found to have milk teeth. They are ready for the oats crop or feedlot as they have good bone, frame and shape, gaining 0.3kg per day. They are all #3 heifers, lifetime traceable and HGP Free. Please note that 10hd were removed post assessment and do still appear in photos, this was done to even out deck numbers.
