A line 53 Vendor bred friesian steer calves that have had a quality start being reared on Vitafarm fortified milk powder and weaned onto cereal hay and 2.5kg Reids 18% grain mix per day. The steers have been vaccinated with piliguard, and both their injections of 7 in 1 and were backlined with Demise x 4 and a Cydectin. These calves are displaying plenty of bone and frame would grow out into big heavy bullocks. The steers are from two 400 cow herds of large frame friesian cows backed by over 60 years of AI breeding. All the steers bar one have been have been gas dehorned.
Note: A Small % of steers have a small amount of pinkeye scarring and ringworm.
4 steers have been treated and patched for pinkeye.
