Steers are in light condition after early weaning in September last year. Have been on better quality green feed for approximately 4 to 5 weeks now and are on a rising plane of nutrition with ample energy requirements for long distance travel.

Steers were very good to handle, docile and quiet through the larger yards. Drafted easily and quietly through air driven race draft with a small percentage stirring up or turning around in the race. generally a very easy mob to work through the yards with all settling quickly and easily after exiting the headbail.

Well handled good quality mob of #2 & #1 steers, comprising of 76% grey brahman with 24% considered crossbred (Senepol/Charolais, Droughtmaster and Brangus) showing minimal hump and averaging 185kg curfewed weight with 100% of the mob weighed at assessment after 24hrs in yards off feed and water. All well handled being weaned in september 2021and educated with bikes, horses and helicopters, clean coated moderate frame steers well suited to both northern & southern markets. 70% of the mob does have horn with vendor electing not to de-horn in 2nd round, this mob does contain approx 18 Entires that are not HGP'd. Majority of the mob are starting to move forward quickly on green pasture now. overall a very tidy 4 deck line of steers that will grow into good medium and heavy weight feeder steers. moderate frame easy doing steers with an excellent temperament and education. 1 x steer with a slight dog-bite will be discounted at a rate 1$/kg equivalent.

Light weaner steers Drafted by eye into an even line of steers. these steers did not fit on trucks with their brothers to be sent to our fattening block south of Richmond/Maxwelton. Light steers with plenty of compensatory weight gain in them.
