Generally good to handle in the yards and through the race and crush. Three steers were agitated in the crush and would not settle during assessing. They were calm and settled when they were back in the mob in the yard. See video.

A fair through to good and very good quality line of vendor bred weaner steers. With 38% medium frame and the balance large frame they suit to grow to heavy export feeder weights. The fair quality steers have adequate frame but just lack a little muscling. They were yard weaned in June onto hay and a grain mix and have been on oats since July. The vendor has an extended calving period and as such there is a range of ages and weights within the steers. No active pink eye was visible at assessment but flies were present and eyes will be checked prior to delivery. LWR at assessment 273 - 423 kg full weight. A nice line of Angus steers that will continue to grow on to target markets.
