Generally good to handle in the yards and through the race and crush. Three steers were agitated in the crush and would not settle during assessing. They were calm and settled when they were back in the mob in the yard. See video.

A mostly good to very good quality line of vendor bred Angus weaner heifers. With 60% medium frame and 40% large frame they suit to take directly onto feed for the domestic supermarket trade with only three heifers under 300 kg full weight (min 292 kg). They are not carrying excess condition and would also suit to grow onto heavy weights and then grain or pasture finish for high quality MSA markets. They have been vet preg tested as 100% NDP and injected with Bioestrovet to ensure nothing is pregnant. The vendor is not keeping any heifers this year and this represents the full drop of heifers. The top 45% of heifers have the quality to take and join and make good quality future breeders. One heifer noted with slight blue eye scarring in both eyes - not impairing sight. No active pink eye was observed at assessment but flies were active and the eyes of the heifers will be rechecked prior to delivery. LWR at assessment 295 - 425 kg full weight.
