Steers were good to handle throughout the assessment process. Steers flowed well through the force & weigh station. 5 steers were noted to become agitated in weigh station to soon settle when released & united with mob. 2 steers were noted to be agitated in backyards post assessment not settling. Steers were quiet to handle in holding paddock, whist on foot steers would manoeuvre around without issue for photos & videos.

78 - Very Good Quality Vendor Bred EU Accredited Angus sired Steers. All steers being weighed out at 400kg & heavier at assessment. Steers were subject to a 6 hour curfew prior to being assessed. Strs present in healthy forward store to fresh condition. Having been monitored over the winter months steers are averaging 1.3kg per day weigh gain on an improved rye grass based pasture. Strs are eligible for Grass Fed Markets. 1 steers was noted to have healed old ring worm on head, 2 with old blue eye scarring. Steers are to be sold C/kg live weigh to be delivered to the Armidale Saleyards the night prior to delivery & weighed the next morning after an overnight 12 hour curfew on water. Sale of steers present an opportunity to purchase a genuine line of Vendor bred EU accredited Angus sired feeder steers, exhibiting good quality & growth for age, suitable for either the Domestic or Export feedlot markets. Steers also have the potential to continue backgrounding for the Grass fed markets.
