These were excellent to handle in all areas of the yards and the weaning process is obviously a reflection of this. They stood up in the crush very well, only really one that did act up a bit but settled when they returned to the mob. Very easy to video, they just walked out with minimal fuss. Like most cattle they probably need to be steadied through gateways a little but in summary an easy line of steers to handle in all areas of the yards.

Assessor Comments
A line of Angus cross PCAS ELIGIBLE steers that have presented in plain condition from the dry season. I would imagine these will perform very quickly on fresh country that has received some rainfall lately and as a result would expect very good compensatory gains. There appears to be a very light amount of Buffalo Fly on them so a treatment on arrival would be an advantage for maximum production. Definitely no serious problem, no rubbing just some tail flicking. These cattle have an excellent reputation and many feedlots have reported that they are excellent doers. They are capable of continued growth to end up a domestic, export feeder or a grass fed heavy weight bullock. There are maybe 6-7 lightweight steers that look like they may have been self weaned at a young age that may take a bit longer to hit their straps. Buyers please be aware there is an additional lot of Charolais cross steers from the same place in the sale to make up a 5 deck unit should a buyer purchase both lots.
