Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were good to handle in the race and force with a few resenting being on the scales and being mouthed. They are best worked in a steady fashion with limited force exerted. If a heifer was to get isolated they could have the ability to become aggressive. They were generally easily managed when moving from yard to yard but still need to be steadied through gateways as they have a tendency to rush if they are not. Behaved well when being photographed and videoed.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a two deck offering of mainly Droughtmaster and Crossbred type heifers with most that will suit direct entry onto grain. A few of the lighter heifers might need the paddock for a couple of months. As mentioned these are mainly all purchased heifers so the breed composition has been done with a visual appraisal and buyers should view the video to be satisfied with the assessment. The age is also an estimate so as a consequence these have all been mouthed. About half of the heifers (9 head) that were mouthed 2-tooth are in fact just starting to cut. Buyers will also note in the video and photos that there are some heifers with a small amount of crest or slight hump and as is the case with the Droughtmaster types, plenty of Bos Indicus ear/naval. The vendor is confident these are gaining weight as the feed conditions are still good.

Stock History
Of the 64 being offered there are 8 that are vendor bred with the balance all purchased ex: Lismore and Casino area out of saleyards. They were purchased about 12 months ago and at the time weighed from 140-180kgs.
Lifetime Traceable
It is thought that most would be lifetime traceable however I did notice a post breeder (orange tag) in them so as such cannot be guaranteed LT's.
Grazing Conditions
Been running on an oats crop up until 7 days ago. Since that time they have been on barley stubble and a good cover of native grasses in the tree lines.
Returned same
Vendor Comments
Just a normal turnoff now that the oats has come to an end. They are not required for future breeding purposes.
