Assessor Comments
A good to very good quality line of vendor bred yearling heifers. They were mostly large framed (57%) with the balance medium framed. The heifers are NSM and were vet pregnancy tested as NDP on the 25 Oct 2024. They have not had access to bulls before or since preg testing. Since weaning they have been fed in yards on bunks for a short period before going onto a good quality oats crop. They have had access to grain mixes post weaning and will be fed a hay and grain mix from Tues 3rd December onwards to guard against heifers chasing the green pick. Please note one heifer with slight blue eye in one eye and one heifer with warts on the neck. Heifers are sired by quality Angus bulls with above breed average EBV's for marbling and 600 Day growth and the top 50% would suit as good quality future breeders. Located 5km south of Moonie only 500 m off the highway, they are very accessible for any trucks moving north and south and have a liveweight sale option.
