Steers have been regularly handled and flowed well through the assessment process. Generally, they are easy to handle with the odd steer becoming agitated in the race and crush but all calmed once through the draft and back in the mob. It is worth noting that there was a total of 450 steers in the yards at assessment.

Assessor Comments
Another offering of the Erdavale steers. These 76 Angus steers are in a tight weight range from 317 -350kg at assessment. Cattle are up to date with all their animal health treatments including a Bovilis MH+IBR in July and are on the do enjoying fantastic conditions at Erdavale. 52 out of the 76 head offered have been IMF scanned (24 head were not scanned). 41 head scored 4% or better and 11 were 2-4%. Steers stand on plenty of frame and would suit backgrounding for the feedlot or could be grown out on grass to kill weights. Please not the vendor has another 190 heavier steers offered across two lots in the same sale. A great opportunity presents as we enter a promising Spring.
