Assessor Comments
Buyers a 2 deck lot of lightweight heifers that have presented in very plain condition. I would envisage plenty of compensatory gain for whoever buys these heifers. These will suit to grow out further on improved pastures or crop and background to heavier domestic feedlot entry weights. The majority of these are flatback types but there are some with sleek coats and longer ear but basically no hump. These didn't appear to have any tick on them at assessment so with a pre-treatment with Dectomex Injectable they should have no problems scratching clean for entry into all tick free areas. There was a lighter tail end drafted out of these so you are buying the lead of the heifers. I did notice a No3 heifer in the lot so she would be slightly older than the balance. Some of these heifers do have a fair amount of winter coat so I wouldn't be surprised if there are a couple more. Buyers, keep an eye on the weaners at Rolleston in the sale that could possibly be used to fill up a road train.
