Were educated well whilst being weaned. These heifers have been turned out since being weaned. They worked through the yards and over the scales freely. A couple of heifers moved quick when pressure was applied however showed no malice and settled quickly back into the mob. Worked easily and blocked effortlessly for the dogs.

Assessor Comments
20 very tidy Red Angus and Composite (Hicks Red Bulls) bred heifers. Well grown, plenty of shape and length. They stand on good bone and should mature into better than medium frame females if given the opportunity. This area in the Hunter Valley experienced a very wet winter and in the recents couple of weeks of sunshine have really started to cleaned up in their coats and losing the old hair. At the time of assessment there were quite a few heifer's displaying signs of “cycling”. This lot of heifers give purchasers a number of opportunities - either grow out and join as future breeders, backgrounder heifers to go into feedlots or crop/grain finish to hit a range of markets from Supermarket/Local trade through to heavier weights. 3 Heifers have red broken faces, 1 heifer has Simmental markings & 1 Black heifer. These heifers are vendor bred, up to date with Vet treatments, Grass Fed and Antibiotic Free. Well worth a look.
