Assessor Comments
The second line, being the smaller framed Heifers drafted from the complete Autumn drop of heifer calves from well known Euroa District breeder, the Saglietti Family, "Ponkeen". One of the first herds in Nth East Victoria to introduce Simmentals in the 1970's. In recent years Poll Herefords and the odd Red Angus Bulls have been used in a Crossbreeding program to improve fattening and carcase qualities. These Heifers are very well grown and would be perfect to feed on grain or grass. They show good bone and muscling. They were yarded and off feed from Midday Monday and weighed between 10 & 11am Tuesday. Approx. 20% showed rubbing on the neck and would benefit from a lice treatment.
