Assessor Comments
22 steers presenting in forward store condition have had a great start to life. These steers have been weaned at the time of assessment and will remain in the yards being fed quality cereal hay and cotton seed. There has been a weight gain of "0 kg/day" put on these cattle due to the fact that they are being yard weaned. given that they are being fed high quality hay and cotton seed and that many of the animals have been self weaned, in the assessors opinion the weight will be maintained or slightly increased. These cattle will be ideally suited to a feedlot program or continue on oats and grow into heavy feeders or a domestic trade/ export article.
