A few steers got slightly agitated in the confines of the crush but seemed to settle nicely once back with their group. Just a very odd steer wanting to be first through the gateway. Displayed good manners in the larger holding yard when doing media.

Assessor Comments
Annual draft of very good quality Ardrossan blood yard weaned steers, bred out of an excellent quality herd of predominantly larger framed volume females. Steers would normally be carried through to heavier weights but the season in the Upper Murray dictates the sale of these boys to make way for the next generation coming through. Proven performers in the past, these steers present with plenty of frame in fresh store condition with plenty of upside. Note approximately 27 steers had old ringworm scarring and given we are coming into the warmer months, this should clear rapidly. The odd eye blemish as noted in "traits" is very minor and some instances barely notable but advisable to prospective purchasers none the less. Once shown quality feed these steers will explode under the right conditions and will make high end feeders or heavy kill cattle at a young age. PCAS Grassfed Declaration available.
