Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were well behaved in the yards and force, and mostly in the crush. Some just wanting to push up in the race, and rush through the process. Which had to be pushed back to ease pressure off the slide gates. Once in the crush, they were much more settled, and the majority were all very settled walking out. Very calm to let out in the holding paddock for photos and to walk amongst. None stirring up at this or getting offended sharing their paddock with a person on foot.

Assessor Comments
Young, well bred line of 12-13 month old Rennylea/Ardrossan Angus blood Heifers to take on. Well structured, high growthing heifers that are 100kg+ lighter than they would usually be at this age, and offer the successful purchaser some fast and immediate compensatory weight gain on delivery. Heifers that would usually be grown out to feedlot specs, however the tightness of the season has not allowed these heifers to reach anywhere near their potential, and in return, offers the buyer the chance to quickly finish what’s been started, with a huge amount of frame to work with. Ideal lot of Heifers to Back ground in the Spring, then finish on a grain ration for a Supermarket program.
