350 ewe lambs averaging 51kg at assessment and ranged from 44kg-62kg. These are the tops of the drop. The vendor started their flock 7 years ago by purchasing ewes from a long term Cashmore Oaklea client. They have been building the flock since using top 2% indexing Oaklea rams annually, they have now got to the point where surplus numbers are available to the market. They are the complete drop from one part of the farm so no lambs have been removed to keep. The adult flock is extremely low Maintenace and highly fertile, the vendor has not fed grain or silage in the past 7 years only hay and they consistently lamb mark 145%-150%. Wth lambs are killed each year between 22-27kg before Xmas. To secure high quality future breeders it would be hard to look past these.
