A good, smaller line of well bred FX Border Leicester mixed sex sucker lambs. This line represents the combined lighter draft out of a mob of 550 in the drop, with the top draft split into 2 even lines of ewes & wethers, which are also being offered this sale. Bred out of large framed Merino ewes & by stud Border Leicester rams, they offer an opportunity to fatten the wether portion into either trade or export markets, & either retain the ewe portion to top up breeder numbers at a modest rate, or alternatively, value add with weight gain & trade into buoyant restocker markets. These lambs would typically be the August drop lambs in the mob, & prospective buyers would be advised to view the other two lots on offer this sale, for an insight into just how well these younger lambs will continue to grow. These lambs would benefit from being shorn in the near future. Annual sale of the vendors July/Aug drop FX sucker lambs, that have performed well for buyers in previous years.

Skin Comment
Healthy, well nourished, pink skins. Light Clover burr on lower points, extending up the sides. Though no Bathurst burr was observed in lambs sampled, property does have a history of it being present.
Wool Comment
Unshorn sucker skins, starting to grow out in the wool. Some lambs present with minor rubbing on the sides, presumably from burr/seed irritation, as they have recently been plunge dipped with EXTINOSAD . Odd lamb with minor stain around breech.
