Assessor Comments
First cross ewe lambs. Bred out of medium framed 18/19 micron merino ewes. Sired by large framed border leister rams bred at Ournie - Upper Murray. These lambs have not had a setback and will continue to grow out properly given quality feed. A small tail has been retained. Dirty lambs have been bung holed. Ideal trade opportunity to fatten and sell ready to join or to retain as breeders. These ewes will have a lower micron when mature due to the dams micron and as a result would typically return a higher fleece value than broader types. Please note 1% had a weepy eye at assessment and when inspected no grass seeds were found. They appear to be clearing up. A neat line of first cross ewe lambs.
