Assessor Comments
200 head Yarram Park blood composite shorn mixed sex well weaned late drop lambs. These lambs have had a great start to life given the late season rain. They present in forward condition and will continue to bound away given quality feed. In recent years these lambs have been finished on hard feed but due to sufficient numbers they are being offered to the market. Of sample assessed they ranged from 30-47kg to average 38.5kg after a big 24 hour curfew and predominantly 2-3 score in condition. They have continued to gain weight post weaning into a drier start autumn and will top up quickly on quality feed. Young lambs having been recently neatly shorn making them ideal to trade into what is shaping up to be a promising winter market with large numbers of lambs already processed. A quality line of composite lambs with their foot on the till. Vendor is offering another line of feeder lambs (July/August drop) in today’s sale also.
