Assessor Comments
195 Dorset x Composite and Comp x Comp lambs, average 37.7kg full. The flock has been based on Cashmore Oaklea genetics for years and has introduced Cloven Hills genetics in the last few years. Approx 20% of the lambs are sired by a high indexing Poll Dorset and are mixed sex. The remaining 80% are Comp x Comp. The lambs are July / Aug drop. Weaned for 6 weeks, drenched and vaccinated at weaning. Lambs are grain trained on trail and lick feeders. The skins are a bit up and down with some longer skins and some short. A couple of the lambs have bare necks and bellies. Well bred lambs that have the genetic potential to grow out well.
