On offer are 165 1st X Border Leicester Mixed Sex lambs that averaged 38kg at assessment. These lambs have been part of an on farm commercial trial comparing 4 terminal breeds on their growth and carcase characteristics. The vendor has selected trait leading sires from New Armatree Super Borders. The Borders have been drafted off and sold separately to acknowledge the opportunity for a purchaser to continue on with the ewe lambs as future breeders. Of the 96 lambs that were sample weighed there was 51 Ewe lambs and 45 Wether lambs. The rest of the lambs will be retained on farm to be finished and followed through for carcase evaluation. Buyers please note all best efforts have been made to represent the breeding of these lambs, but this is not guaranteed. Also note there are 2 lambs with long tails in the offering and the odd lamb has weepy eyes. Some of these lambs are soft in the feet; best efforts have been made to remove lame lambs at assessment and will be made at delivery.
