Selling 700 majority White Suffolk/ Poll Dorset x composite lambs, coming from a 6500+ ewe flock that has focussed genetic selections on high growth, EMD and Fat on the maternal side, with a flock that has weaned 154% lambs to ewes joined in the past three years. Sires are White Suffolk/Poll Dorset bred to maximise hybrid vigour selecting heavily for PWT, PEMD and decent FAT levels. Lambs were drenched 5 weeks ago, and are primed to quickly reach trade/export weights. 80% of these lambs are out of ewe lambs (Oct drop), representing the top of Lochs Farming’s genetics. These lambs will develop into ideal trade weight carcasses, that will command a premium in the winter market.
Note: Lambs will be delivered to Colac Saleyards for b-double access.
