Assessor Comments
A very nice line of Border Leicester 2021 drop wether lambs. The lambs present in fresh store condition, with good fat cover on frames that are above average for age. The line are genuinely out of large framed, Northern SA merino ewes, by Paxton Sires, so I say with confidence that on the right nutritional plain, they will comfortably grow out and finish to heavy export weights. The lead of these lambs have already been processed and achieved 22kg carcass weight with no seed or carcass issues present. At assessment, of the lambs weighed, the lowest weight was 29kg however the greatest majority were 35kg plus & the line appear to be relatively even in size. The skins are typical of the breed, & are approx 50mm in ave length. The lambs would greatly benefit from being shorn soon. All lambs have been crutched, however the odd lamb prior to delivery will be tidied up if still dirty. There are other lines lambs for sale in the area, which could help with interstate transport.
