Assessor Comments
A good large line of vendor bred 1yo wethers. These wethers present in a strong store condition. They are medium frame and will continue to grow into medium to large frame wethers in the future. They are on the verge of cutting teeth, the odd lamb has lost a tooth and most teeth were short and well spread, but no hoggets were found at assessment. They would normally be retained and shorn again in the autumn and sold as wether hoggets but are only being offered for sale due to the ongoing, extremely dry conditions. These would be ideal to run through as woolgrowers and fatten for either the hogget or mutton market in the future. Approximately 10% of the mob is showing wether horn. A great opportunity if you have some feed as these wethers will respond and improve and grow you a great fleece of wool.
