Assessor Comments
On offer is a line of Merino Ewe Hoggets, June 2021 drop. These young ewes come from a well-known flock based on Darriwell blood for the past 39 years and classed annually by Russell Jones. They are well framed, heavy cutting sheep with an adult flock average of 20.5 micron, and only rams are introduced to the property. The Gowing's flock has had much success in flock ewe competitions over many years including the Ted Little Memorial Trundle Merino Ewe competition placing in the top 2 the last 4 years. A good opportunity to purchase young ewes with a 3 month clean staple of wool.
50 Ewes were mouthed, 20 Hogget's, 30 Ewes cutting or have developed 4 teeth.
Ewes have had a significant amount of rainfall on them since shearing in October and have held up very well having very minimal fly strike cases.
Noted approx. 17 ewes with scur/light horn, 1 ewe which has had some dermo and 1 ewe with a small black patch of wool on side.
