A total of 400 rising 3.5 yo merino ewes SIL to Border Leicester rams, to be offered in two even lines of 200. Joined for 5 weeks, August shorn, big bodied, heavy wool cutting ewes and SIL 154%. Ewes present in majority fat score 3 condition leading into lambing and all have been crutched. Ewes were purchased in as part of a dispersal from the local area as hoggets. All animal health treatments are up to date as per best practice. Border Leicester rams are purchased from Castle Camps and selected for +fat and high post weaning weights. Ewe lambs are sold into Naracoorte Blue Ribbon sale and wether lambs are turned off as 22 kg suckers most years. Breeder hadn't mulsed for over 15 years and were selected for bare breech and plain body. Ewes come highly recommended.
