Assessor Comments
This is a full dispersal of the "Plain View" flock. They are based on Mumblebone bloodlines and are a nice medium to large framed plain bodied ewe. This line represents the 1.5 year old group. They have a nice jacket on their backs of 18-19 micron wool which is very clean. The vendors have been on this bloodline for over 10 years. They are changing their enterprise structures and this is the only reason these sheep are being offered. They have not mulsed for 10 years and cull heavily for flystrike. I observed some of the ewes had picked up a small amount of spiny burr seed under their jaws. Not all have this, approximately 40%. Obviously this may be on bellies too but not easily noticed. There are 2 other lots in this sale, a great opportunity to put a nice line of easy care, attractive wooled breeders together. The vendor started scanning the mob (total of 720) and stopped after 260 as nothing showed up pregnant.
