Assessor Comments
A very productive line of 5 and 6 year old Merino ewes, March shorn, EGELABRA and BUNGULLA blood, majority mulsed and SIL 143% to Border Leicester Rams. They were purchased out of Nyngan after originally been bred in Barcaldine and St George. They reared and weaned 115% lambs off them this year. They were purchased as sound mouth and after mouthing 12 in the race, they appear to still have good blocky mouths. 2 ewes have scalding over the rump where they were treated for flystrike at shearing. These ewes are looking a little washed out from the high rainfall activity over the past month but would improve quickly once conditions start to dry out. A great opportunity to purchase and take advantage of their fertility and abundance of 1st cross lambs in the winter. Also note vendor will offer another 2 lots of similar ewes in the same sale.
