Assessor Comments
A very good quality line of middle aged, NSM FX Border Leicester ewes. These ewes are mostly vendor bred by the previous owner of the property & have been bred out of large framed Merino ewes, & sired by KELSO PARK Border Leicester Rams. The balance of the mob are made up of purchased ewes of the same age, which have been sired by DARJEELING & RANGOON B/L rams. This mob presents as an even line of true to type, stylish ewes, which are in the prime of their breeding lives. Ewes are exhibiting good length & squareness of body, boasting plenty of depth & weight, making them ideal breeders of export weight, quality 2nd cross lambs. Ewes are in prime condition, & have had lambs weaned off around a month ago, making them set for an Autumn joining. Genuine sale of breeders due to increase in cattle numbers. Small % of ewes have double orange/green tags which do not reflect year drop. Approx 4 ewes sampled have shorter patches of wool over the hips/back from previous fly strike at shearing.
