Age Breakup: Approx 5% are 2016 drop black rag ewes. Balance/majority are blue rag 2015 drop ewes.
Assessor Comments
Medium/large framed merino ewes SIL to white Suffolk and poll Dorset rams. These ewes are pred 2015 drop with 5% 2016 drop. Rams have been running continuously with ewes however scanner identified 3 stages of gestation. Early and significantly late lambing ewes were removed by scanner. The best attempt to identify ewes 6-16 weeks in gestation have been made but cannot guarantee a small variation from this. These ewes were not scanned for twins. Relatively plain bodied types with stretch and stand up. Purchased in from approximately 4 origins. Any broken udders were removed at assessment. This is a great opportunity to purchase productive ewes that will produce a xb lamb and offer great value when sold to the kill. Randomly mouthed 30 hd to be surprisingly sound with 2 head missing a wing tooth. Offered as genuine 2015 drop ewes. These ewes have been shorn/scanned/assessed this week and will bound ahead when put on spring feed to lamb. Offered as a run out the gate totalling 320 head.
