Assessor Comments
225 predominantly young Merino ewes with 187 XB lambs at foot. Green tag Merino ewes are Nov shorn and crutched, the small number of White tags are Jan shorn. This lot offers the buyer the opportunity to split the lamb after weaning and shear off the ewe for immediate cash flow and sell/retain the young ewe. Only for sale due to low feed availability after limited Winter rainfall hasn’t provided enough pasture to take these thru any longer. Ewes are bred ex WA and the larger line of 201 Green tag ewes look to be finer wool types and medium frame, the 25 White tag ewes are med to large frame. Lambs marked 3 days prior to assessment, odd ewe still yet to lamb but can be pulled out prior to trucking if not suitable to travel.
