Assessor Comments
A very nice line of true to type Merino 5.5yo ewe. Having being based on Dalveen bloodlines for 25 years, the sheep are very consistent in what they produce. Dalveen blood sheep are well known for their structure, length and depth of body and heavy cutting low to medium micron wools. They are true dual purpose ewes, perfect for not only continued merino production, but also as mothers for maternal & terminal cross bred production.
Of those assessed, no ewe weighed below 53kg. They present in fresh store condition, clean & healthy in the head, good on their feet and legs, well mulesed, carrying nil seed & burr and from a flock which has had rams only bought in over the years.
A very good opportunity to secure a good line of proven, genuine breeder ewes that have stood the test of time, reared multiple lambs & cut many kilograms of decent wool.
2 further quality lines of 160 & 130 ewe hoggets are available in this same sale.
