A smaller line of predominantly 5 year old ewes scanned in lamb with a high percentage of multiples, to GILMORE Poll Dorset rams, to start lambing mid August. Ewes are very fresh in the mouth, with only a few ewes showing any wear at all. Majority of ewes are March shorn, however there is 10 longer wool January shorn ewes in the mob. These medium to larger framed ewes would make a great starter mob for a purchaser looking to stock a smaller block & move straight into production without the expense of purchasing rams. Up to 1/3 of the mob present with varying degrees of long toenails, consistent with age. 3 noticeably hoppy ewes were removed from the mob, & the remainder with long toenails would benefit from a trim. Highly productive ewes that would easily go around again. 1 other lot of 2 year old SIL ewes are also being offered this sale as part of a restructuring of operations by the vendor. 1 ewe noticed with a small corn on ear.100% sampled for added buyer confidence
