Assessor Comments
Classed breeders being offered as a full flock dispersal. 2018 drop ewes scanned in lamb to Hazeldean merino rams to lamb for 41 days from 22/08. These ewes have been selected for high fertility, the flock is scanned annually with all drys sold. Quality and quantity wool production is paramount and rams are selected for high profitability traits of low micron, high fleece weight and high carcass growth. Recent wool results returned $78/hd. The ewes in this lot were scanned with the orange tag ewes offered in todays sale. As a group with dries removed they scanned at 143%. Multiple pregnancies are marked with a green dot on the high bone. The ewes have been shorn with cover combs and as such present with some ridges. The odd ewe has some scur and there are some ewes with long toes, a symptom of the very wet conditions they have experienced. Ewes are foot bathed when conditions require. Very good ewes for astute wool growers. Excellent ewes to lamb down and retain.
